PBEC Secretariat Appoints New Staff
Geraldine "G.G." Green joins the PBEC staff as Assistant to the President and will be responsible for the administrative and financial matters of the organization. She brings a wealth of knowledge in government having recently served as Executive Assistant with the Office of the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu. A former entrepreneur, she has freelanced as an office administrator in various Honolulu offices and former owner of Pacific Island Arts Gallery. Rae Gee comes aboard as Manager of Member Services, and will be responsible for servicing members in the newly created position with new programs and networking opportunities. She has extensive experience with the City and County of Honolulu municipality, most recently working as Grant Administrator for the Honolulu Police Department. Gee also worked as an Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of the City Parks and Recreation Department and Urban Planner for the City Department of Housing and Community Development. In addition, Sylvia Palmer has been appointed Manager of Programs. She previously worked as the Manager of Administration. Palmer will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of PBEC’s annual International General Meeting -- the region’s premiere international business conference -- and Mid-term Meeting, as well as other conferences and special events. Ms. Palmer has held positions with the Department of Defense as a training manager and facilitator, and with Pacific Bell Telecommunications as a fraud and quality control facilitator. Ryan Kawailani Ozawa was promoted to the position of Manager of Information Technology & Communications. President Tanonaka — who was appointed to his post in October — is assisted by PBEC Vice President Steve Olson. PBEC is an international association of senior business leaders representing 1,000 major corporations in 20 economies around the Pacific, which together account for more than US$4 trillion in global sales and employ more than 10 million people. The International Secretariat has been located in Honolulu since 1992. Media Contact: |
