PBEC 2001 Mid-term Meeting
October 16-18, 2001 Shanghai, China Noted Speakers: The 2001 Mid-term Meeting was held October 16-18 at the brand new, five-star St. Regis Shanghai hotel in Shanghai, China, immediately preceding the APEC CEO Summit (October 18-20). The St. Regis, which opened in July, is located in the newly emerging central business district of Pudong in Shanghai, just a few minutes drive from the legendary Shanghai Bund, Yu Yuan Garden and Nanjing Road. Guests enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, as well as the traditional English-style butler service (or maitre d'etage) that is the hallmark of St. Regis. PBEC's annual Mid-Term Meeting is an opportunity for PBEC to deliberate and speak out on the key issues facing the region, and to conduct the organization's internal business.
