Website Development & Graphic Design
To assist with the development, maintenance, and expansion of the PBEC website.
- Assist the PBEC webmaster with the development of the PBEC website and other affiliated sites.
- Perform general website design, including scanning, manipulating, and optimizing images.
- Create focused design elements, including banners and logos; create special website "packages" or theme pages, etc. using Adobe PhotoShop and basic HTML editing utilities.
- Perform ongoing website maintenance and repair, including standardizing or optimizing HTML code, converting old pages to match the current site's look and feel, checking broken links, editing, and proofreading.
- Communicate with and provide technical assistance to PBEC's member committees, specifically in the interests of fostering the development of independent member committee websites.
- Develop and implement a program plan to increase the overall use of the PBEC Intranet.
- Assist in the development of special purpose websites for specific programs and events.
- Conduct extensive web research to build a custom library/database of Pacific business links, including short, professional comments summarizing each site's focus and features.
- Contribute to the development of a long-term website strategy that includes commercialization, website promotion through link exchanges and other similar programs, and the creation of a separate branded "portal" for Pacific business.
- Provide assistance with graphic design aspects of various print and multimedia projects, including newsletters, advertisements, video, etc.
- Draft, edit, and revise letters, memos, and other forms of correspondence.
- Maintain correspondence with PBEC's member committees through e-mail, fax, and telephone.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
