Meeting Summary PBEC Steering Committee Meeting April 8, 2001 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Venue: Hotel Nikko, Pegasus Room, 1st Floor E-Business - Mr. Tim Jobe, reporting on behalf of Rohana Mahmood, Vice Chair Mr. Jobe reported that the Committee passed a resolution on facilitating SMEs in the global market and is working on planning the conference in Shanghai, which may be extended by one day. The Committee suggested that member economies appoint a permanent representative to the E-Business Committee and examined ways to further the E-Business website and fund activities that did not involve the Special Fund. Proposed Policy Papers and Statements Statement on Facilitating SMEs in the Global Market Place - E-Business Working Committee Statement was approved.
