Dr. Jeffrey Koo
Chairman & CEO, Chinatrust Commercial Bank
Dr. Jeffrey Koo has been well known as a dynamic contributor within the PBEC family. Besides his immense services rendered to PBEC activities throughout the past years, he has also generously given his time and efforts in the leadership of PBEC Chinese Taipei, serving as the Chairman from 1993 to 1994, and as the Honorary Chairman until now.

Dr. Guillermo Fernandez de Soto
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Colombia
Dr. Fernandez de Soto, former president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, was also president and founder of the PBEC Colombian Member Committee. During his management, the national Committee gained great recognition by different levels of the government and private sector. Mr. Fernandez de Soto has also participated in several IGMs and assists the local Committee in the design and development of a strategic plan. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, he has promoted an improved cooperation and trade program between Colombia and the Asia Pacific Economies.

Tan Sri Dato' Haji Basir Ismail
Chairman, Malaysia Airports Berhad
Tan Sri Basir co-founded PBEC Malaysia in 1991 and became its first Chairman. Tan Sri Basir's contributions to PBEC during his tenure as Chairman are numerous, and include successfully hosting the 27th PBEC IGM in Kuala Lumpur in 1994 with the theme "Profiting from Pacific Dynamism: Opportunities and Challenges for the Private Sector." Since then, he has been instrumental in ensuring that PBEC Malaysia is actively represented at the working committees' level of PBEC, setting the pace for definitive discussions and agreements in such areas as business development, anti-dumping, services, transparency, food products and foreign direct investments.

Ambassador José Juan de Olloqui
Ambassador de Olloqui has served as Counsellor and Member of the Board for PBEC Mexico for the past 10 years. He has also held the posts of Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Japan.
