Nelson An-Ping Chang
Vice Chairman
Chia Hsin Cement Corporation

NELSON AN-PING CHANG, born in 1952, is the Vice Chairman (formerly Managing Director and President) of Chia Hsin Cement Corporation (Chia Hsin), C.E.O. of China Securities and C.E.O. of Hong Kong-based KG Investments Asia Limited (KGI).

Chia Hsin is a listed company on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the 3rd largest cement producer in Taiwan. China Securities is one of the major integrated securities firms in Taiwan and its primary activities are broking, dealing and underwriting. Mr. Chang also served as C.E.O. of KGI, an investment bank with a net worth of US$120 million and a portfolio of US$1,200 million in value.

Chang, in his capacity as the executive director of Chinese Association of Industry and Commerce, involves heavily with civic organizations and public affairs. With his profound interest and extensive knowledge in regional economic and political affairs, he is one of the three members of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), representing Chinese Taipei, the Vice Chair of PECC (Chinese Taipei) and Vice Chairman of PBEC (Chinese Taipei). Mr. Chang is a Director of the Straits Exchange Foundation that represents Taipei in the cross-straits talks. He is also the Chairman of Taipei International Community Cultural Foundation, popularly known as ICRT, the only English broadcasting station in Taiwan.

Chang earned his BA in Princeton University in 1974 and an MBA in New York University in 1976. He is married and has two daughters.
