This event, which attracts more than 400 senior business leaders, was held at the new Empire Hotel & Country Club (formerly Jerudong Park Hotel) which was opened especially for the CEO Summit. The Summit’s theme is "Getting Back to Basics - Revitalising and Refocusing APEC’s Business Agenda." In the wake of the WTO meeting in Seattle, it is APEC’s objective to try to get the organization back on track with its original goals - market liberalization and capacity building for the companies and the economies that shall be operating in and around the world’s fastest growing region of the 21st Century.
