Dawn Westerhout was elected as Board of Director PBEC in 2024. She is a seasoned professional who excels in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and marketing. As the Asia Pacific Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at KPMG, and a key member of the regional leadership team, Dawn is instrumental in shaping, promoting, and protecting the firm’s brand and reputation. Drawing on her early experiences in theatre and journalism, Dawn has a unique ability to understand people and situations, enabling her to craft simple and effective solutions to complex issues. She is particularly adept at stakeholder management and communications, which has been pivotal in her role. Dawn is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, with a strong focus on creating a more inclusive workplace, especially for women.
She served as the regional liaison for the Women Corporate Directors Foundation at KPMG from 2011 to 2020 and until then, co-chaired the WCD Singapore chapter. Additionally, Dawn has been a board member of The Necessary Stage since 2022 and previously served on the board of the humanitarian NGO Mercy Relief from its foundation in 2003 until 2016.
