PBEC -Pacific Basin Economic Council established as an NGO since 1967, with its Secretariat based in Hong Kong since 2003 and the only private business organisation that links all the Pacific Latin American countries with the business hubs of Greater China, has signed a new MoU on the 10th December 2020, with the recently appointed Mexican Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong President Susana Munoz which is effective from 1st January 2021. One of the positive outcomes of the Covid pandemic has been the pivot to online digital communications and regular content production by both organisations for its respective members. We have already witnessed increased interest and attendance to our own webinars and dialogue discussions throughout this period and when the subject or topic has turned to Latin America business interests, policy issues and investment opportunities, PBEC and Mexican Chamber have collaborated on bringing together the experts for our members. With this in mind it was deemed a natural step to solidify the relationship as we enter 2021 with a further commitment to continue and expand these dialogues and opportunities to bridge Mexican Companies with their counterparts in China and the ASEAN region. PBEC always takes pride in its ability to act as a bridge to engage and bring together business leaders, Government officials and academics from across the Pacific and Asia. Our first collaborative event will take place in January 2021. Look out for further event details.
