He is the current Chairman of Pacific Basin Economic Council since 2018 and of Plan International and Deputy Chairman of UNESCAP on Financial Services. He is a director of Asia Pacific Real Estate Association, ANREV, and Community Business.
He was appointed by the Hong Kong SAR Government as the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) director, chairs its Governance Committee, and sits on the FSDC Policy Research Committee.
Mr Weir is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Directors and is a regular speaker at forums, universities, and business schools on governance and business issues.
Mr. Weir was the Regional Senior Partner of KPMG in Hong Kong SAR and Vice Chairman of KPMG China up until his retirement on 30th September 2024. He has over 30 years of experience servicing listed companies, public bodies, investment funds, and MNCs in Hong Kong SAR, the Chinese Mainland, Asia, and internationally. He has a keen interest in corporate governance, board leadership, and business in the community and leads the quarterly KPMG Independent Non-Executive Directors Forum.
Mr Weir held several senior national, global, and regional roles whilst with KPMG. He was the Global Chairman of Asset Management and Real Estate and ASPAC Chairman of Infrastructure, Government, and Healthcare, including the real estate, hospitality, and transport sectors. Mr Weir also sat on the Global Client Advisory Board and was the Chair of the Audit Management Board. He was on the global leadership team of KPMG’s Belt & Road Centre of Excellence and chaired the UK-China corridor leading efforts to establish greater linkages between Chinese, UK, and International business and investment partners. Mr Weir was also the Head of Capital Markets at KPMG China and Asset Management in the Asia Pacific previously.
Mr Weir was appointed by the Hong Kong SAR Government as a council member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and to sit on the Greater Bay Belt and Road Committee and chair the Global Belt and Road Forum until stepping down after the latest one took place in 2024. He previously chaired the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listing Committee, sits on the advisory panels of the Securities Institute and Hong Kong Investor Relations Association, and is Vice-Chair of the ICAEW Hong Kong Committee. He was previously Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong SAR and of the Community Business Leadership Council as well as a member of the International Business Council.
Mr Weir was made an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2017 for his contribution to trade and investment links between Hong Kong SAR, the Chinese Mainland, and the UK and was awarded Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors for his services to the NGO sector. He is a Justice of the Peace and was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the HK SAR Chief Executive the Rt.Hon John Lee in 2024.

Peter Burnett OBE BBS JP has been a Board of Director since 2023 and was elected Vice Chairman in 2024. He is the Chief Executive of CBBC- the China Britain Business Council. Prior to joining CBBC, Peter was Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank based in Hong Kong where he has lived since 1996. He joined the bank in 2013 as Head of Corporate Finance after a 24 year career with UBS Investment Bank. Peter’s early career started in London as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.
Peter chaired the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong from 2018 to 2022. He is an INED and Treasurer of the English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong and former chair of the Hong Kong Association of Banks’ One Belt, One Road Committee. He sits on the Committee of the Hong Kong Association.
Anna Lin, MH, JP, has been a board member of PBEC since 2022 and was elected Vice Chairman of PBEC in 2024. She is a Medal of Honor recipient from the HK Govt in 2023 and the Chief Executive of GS1 Hong Kong, founded by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, since 1989. In this capacity, Ms. Lin leads the organisation in driving the industry’s adoption of global supply chain standards, technologies and practices for better business efficiency and competency.
Ms. Lin is a strong advocate in capacity building as part of bridging the digital divide across APAC and holds a number of civic appointments in various committees, non-statutory bodies of HKSAR Government including Logistics Development Council, Hong Kong-Taiwan Business Cooperation Committee, Trade and Industry Advisory Board as well as “Digital 21 Strategy” Task Force on Industry Facilitation.
Ms. Lin also sits on various industry and professional committees including Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Logistics Services Advisory Committee, Asian Institute of Supply Chain & Logistics Advisory Board, Efficient Consumer Response Asia Pacific Council and Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum. She is also an advisor of Hong Kong-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Foundation.
Ms. Lin is a native of Hong Kong. She holds an MBA degree in Strategic Management from the University of Birmingham, UK. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Business School at the University of Birmingham.
Anson joined PBEC in 2018 and was elected Treasurer. He has been with KPMG in Hong Kong since 1999 and is currently a Partner based in the Hong Kong office heading up the Consumer & Retail Practice in the Asia Pacific region. Today, he is part of the KPMG Global Consumer & Retail Leadership team.

Dr. Cheng qualified to practise as a solicitor in 1975. He is a consultant of Messrs. P. C. Woo & Co., one of the longest established firms of solicitors in Hong Kong; after serving as its Senior Partner from 1994 to 2015. Dr. Cheng’s areas of practice encompass capital markets, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance, and public policies especially taxation and education. Besides Hong Kong, Dr. Cheng is also admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales; State of Victoria, Australia and Singapore. He is also a Notary Public, China-Appointed Attesting Officer and an independent non-executive director of a number of companies whose shares are listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and Singapore.
Amidst his remarkable achievements as a professional, Dr. Cheng has not lost sight of his devotion to serve the community. His public service appointments span the areas of politics, law, business and finance, education, the arts, as well as livelihood concerns of the ordinary citizen. Dr. Cheng served as an appointed member of the Legislative Council between 1991-1995, the Chairman of the Council and Court of Hong Kong Baptist University (1997-2006), the Chairman of the Education Commission (2009-2015), the Chairman of the Board of Education (1996-2002), the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (2005-2006) and also an independent non-executive director of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (2006-2012). He was the founder chairman of Opera Hong Kong and also the founder chairman of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors of which he is now the Honorary President and Chairman Emeritus.
Currently, Dr. Cheng is Chairman of the Insurance Authority, the Process Review Panel for the Securities and Futures Commission, the Ma Wan Park Advisory Committee; Member of Board of Governors and Council Chairman of the Hang Seng Management College and also Member of the Board of Governors of HKBU Foundation. Dr. Cheng is also the Chancellor of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (the Anglican Church of Hong Kong), a director of the HKSKH Welfare Council Limited, the Chairman of the Council of the St. Paul’s Co-educational College, a council member of the Diocesan Boys’ School and the St. Stephen’s College, and a permanent member of the Vestry of the HKSKH St. Paul’s Church. Dr. Cheng had also served as the District Governor of Rotary International District 3450 (HK and Macau) and honorary legal advisors to a number of NGOs and charitable organizations.
In recognition of his many services and contributions to Hong Kong, Dr. Cheng was awarded the OBE by Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom in 1997 and the Gold Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR government in 2003. In the same year, he was made an honorary fellow by the University of Hong Kong. In 2007, Dr. Cheng was honoured by the Hong Kong Baptist University with the degree of Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa and an honorary fellow by CPA Australia. In 2008, Dr. Cheng was also honoured by the Lingnan University of Hong Kong with the degree of Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa. In 2013, Dr. Cheng was made an honorary Doctorate of Academy, Honoris Causa by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and also an honorary fellow by the BNU ∙ HKBU United International College. In 2015, Dr. Cheng was awarded as the Honorary Fellow by the Hong Kong Institute of Volunteers.
Chairman and CEO – Hawaii National Bank
Warren K. K. Luke is Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of the Hawaii National Bank and its holding company, Hawaii National Bancshares.
Mr. Luke is a member of the Board of Governors of the Pacific Forum CSIS (the Asia Pacific arm of the Center for Strategic and International Studies of Washington, D.C.) serves as a Trustee for the Foundation for the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, chairs the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, and is a member of the Hawaii Business Roundtable. He is Chairman of the Sun Yat-Sen Hawaii Foundation and is a former Officerand Trustee of The Appraisal Foundation, an organization authorized by the U.S. Congress as the source of appraisal standards and appraisal qualifications.
Previously, Mr. Luke served as a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for nine years where he also served as Chairman of its Audit Committee. As a member of the National Board of Governors of the United Way of America, Mr. Luke chaired the Finance Committee and served as its Treasurer. In addition, Mr. Luke served as a member of the National Board of Governors of the American Red Cross and was Vice-Chairman of its Council of Former Governors. Mr. Luke is a former Treasurer and Director of the American Bankers Association and former President of the Western Independent Bankers Association. He is past-President of the Hawaii Bankers Association and is an Emeritus Director of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.
In addition to his work in the financial community, Mr. Luke is also active in various aspects of real estate. He is a Director of the Land Use Research Foundation of Hawaii, a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, and a former Director of Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation, a non-profit consortium focused on increasing the supply of affordable housing to low and moderate income households in Hawaii. Mr. Luke is a member of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary land economics society.
Mr. Luke is a member of the Board of Trustees of Punahou School, a Trustee Emeritus of Babson College, and a member of the Asia Pacific Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business, as well as Chairman of the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC).

Dr. Wilfred Wong Ying-wai is the President & COO of Sands China Limited, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Sands China Limited is an integrated resort developer and operator in Macau and a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Dr. Wong is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Dr. Wong joined the Administrative Officer grade of the Hong Kong Government in 1975 and served in a number of key positions including Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service and Deputy Director General of Industry. Dr. Wong joined the private sector in 1992 and since then, he has held top management positions in a number of Hong Kong listed companies in the property development and construction business sectors including K. Wah International Holdings Limited, Henderson China Holdings Limited, Shui On Group, Hsin Chong Construction Group Limited and Synergis Holdings Limited.
Dr. Wong started his political career at the national level when he was appointed a member of The Basic Law Consultative Committee (1985-1990) by the Central People’s Government. He was subsequently appointed by the National People’s Congress as a member of the Preliminary Working Committee for the Hong Kong SAR Preparatory Committee in 1993 and a member of the Hong Kong SAR Preparatory Committee in 1995, both bodies were responsible for the transitional policies and arrangements relating to the establishment of the Hong Kong SAR Government in 1997. Dr. Wong was a Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the PRC during 1997-2012.
Dr. Wong’s public service continues through his participation in a number of councils and committees in Hong Kong. He is currently the Chairman of Hong Kong Arts Development Council; Chairman of Asian Film Awards Academy; Chairman of Hong Kong International Film Festival Society; Chairman of Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service; Chairman of Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation; Chairman of the Pacific Basin Economic Council; Chairman of Hong Kong Institute for Public Administration; Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Film Development Council and Member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He was the Chairman of the Court and Council of the Hong Kong Baptist University during 2007- 2012.
For his distinguished public service, Dr. Wong was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star and Silver Bauhinia Star Medals by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2015 and 2007. He was educated at Harvard University (MPA), The University of Oxford, The University of Hong Kong (BSoc.Sc.) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
David Armitage has been a Board of Director since 2018 and is a serial IT entrepreneur and seasoned Executive. 15 years managing corporate business units with P&L responsibility in Canada followed by 28 years founding, building and operating several IT Service companies in Greater China and SE Asia. He is an active NGO Board Member and Past Chair of CanCham HK. He is connected with all things Canada business and Government related within PBEC.
The Velocity Group, which David chairs, is composed of companies that include IT services and product development. This includes IT managed services, cybersecurity, software development, database development and management; and data and business analytics across Asia Pacific with a client base located in Greater China, ASEAN and the rest of Asia plus Australia and North America.
David Armitage has been a Chairman and President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and currently sits on its Board of Governors. He has considerable experience of sitting on several corporate and Advisory Boards. He holds a BA from The University of British Columbia and an MBA from APGSM.
Mr. Luis Miguel O. Aboitiz, has been a PBEC Board of Director since 2020. He currently works at Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc., as President, Chief Executive Officer & Director since 2011. Mr. Aboitiz is the immediate past Senior Vice President of AEV, a publicly-listed company, a position which he held since 2015. He is Director and First Vice President of ACO, and Trustee of Aboitiz Foundation. He is also the Chairman of UnionBank’s Technology Steering Committee, member of the Audit Committee and Operations Risk Management Committee, and alternate member of the Executive Committee. He holds a management position in GNPower Mariveles Coal Plant Ltd. Co. (GMCP) and its holding company. Mr. Aboitiz is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Independent Power Producers Association, Inc. (PIPPA) In other assignments he is at AdventEnergy, Inc., as President, Chief Executive Officer & Director, and holds posts at various other companies. Mr. Aboitiz also formerly worked at Union Bank of the Philippines, as Non-Executive Director, Subic EnerZone Corp., as Director, Davao Light & Power Co., Inc., as Director, and various other companies. He was appointed the Chief Strategy Officer of AboitizPower on May 21, 2018, and a Director on September 1, 2018. Prior to this, he served as AboitizPower’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer-Corporate Business Group from 2016 to 2018 and as Senior Vice President-Power Marketing and Trading from 2009 to 2015. Tan Sri Dato David CHIU has been a Board of Director of PBEC since 2014 and was appointed a Special Advisor to the Chairman and Senior Board in 2024. He is a prominent businessman with over 40 years’ experience in property development and extensive experience in hotel development. In his business career, he established a number of highly successful business operations through organic growth and acquisitions, covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. On 8 September 2011, Tan Sri Dato David CHIU has been appointed as the Chairman of the FEC Group Company. He is also a director of various subsidiaries. In August 2023, Tan Sri Dato David CHIU has been appointed as the chairman and a non-executive director of Palasino Holdings Limited (stock code: 2536). He was the vice-chairman and a non-executive director of i-CABLE Communications Limited (stock code: 1097) until May 2023.
In regard to his devotion to community services in Mainland China and Hong Kong, he was appointed as the member of the 12th and 13th, and standing committee member of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conferences and the vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (from 2017 to 2022). In Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato David CHIU was awarded an honorary award which carried the title “Dato” and a more senior honorary title of “Tan Sri”by His Majesty, King of Malaysia in 1997 and 2005 respectively. He was also awarded the WCEF Lifetime Achievement Awards by Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute in 2013. He is the father of Ms. Wing Kwan Winnie CHIU (Executive Director and Joint Managing Director of the Company) and Ms. Jennifer Wendy CHIU (Executive Director and Joint Managing Director of the Company) and the brother of Dennis Chiu who runs their business units in Singapore.
He holds a double degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics at the University of Sophia, Japan.
Eric Chang has been an active member of PBEC & Board of Directors since 2005 and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems and Control Engineering in 1997 and subsequently earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1999. In 2018, he completed the dual degree Executive MBA program offered by Tsinghua University and INSEAD, receiving an EMBA from Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management and a EMBA from INSEAD. Currently, Eric holds key positions in two publicly listed companies in Chinese Taipei: Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of Unitech Printed Circuit Board Corp., a company specialized in manufacturing multilayer, HDI, and Rigid-Flex PCBs, and Director of Fulltech Fiber Glass Corp., a leading company in fiberglass yarn and fabric production. He also serves as Chairman or Director in several subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Previously, he held the positions of Vice Chairman at Ideal Bike Corporation and Investment Manager at Taiwan International Securities Corporation.
Adelena is Managing Partner & Co Founder of Paddee Connexions, an organisation providing the Leadership Toolkit for modern executives’ use to lead more effectively in the diversity of 21st century. She started in business at age 27, and led others in her vision and belief for board gender diversity and inclusion through achievement.
She advanced to be the 1st ChairWoman of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (M.I.A.) in Penang. Providing consulting & advisory services, she helped local and foreign businesses to incorporate, advised on shareholder / partner agreements and was appointed as Board Member.
Currently, Adelena is Board of Director on Malaysia Alliance of Corporate Directors, Pacific Basin Economic Council and several privately owned companies. Her vision as a “global small business” is travel + new business connections with business chambers and board members in different countries. When at home, she spoils her furry kids, tends the garden and practices yoga.
Anthony has been a member of PBEC since 2022 and was appointed Board of Director in 2024 to head up our increasing engagement with regional family offices and green & inclusive finance investments. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Isola Capital. Anthony has extensive experience in asset management across private equity, venture capital, private credit and liquid secondary strategies. Anthony enjoyed a career in investment banking before transitioning to private investments and family office wealth management. He has broad investment expertise across a broad range of consumer, agricultural, industrial and technology sectors.
Anthony attained a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) from The University of Sydney and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from The University of Sydney Law School. He is also a graduate of The College of Law (Sydney) and was admitted to the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of NSW. Anthony completed the Financial Engineering Program of Stanford University and attended the Stanford Executive Institute.
He is a Responsible Officer for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) activities licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
Anthony is Co-Chair of Cyberport Investors Network Growth Portfolio Sub-Committee, a member of the HK Trade Development Council Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee, a member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Taxation Committee and YEC Executive Committee, Chair of the HKVCA Wine Committee and a member of the HKVCA Limited Partners Committee and Family Office Committee. Helen Campos was elected to the Board of Directors at PBEC in 2024 and brings with her over 20 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, trusted consultant, chartered secretary and thought leader. She is the Honorary Consulate General for Nepal in Singapore appointed in July 2024.
She sits on the Board of Governors for MDIS-Management Development Institute of Singapore which is one of the oldest Not-for profit Professional Institute for life-long learning founded in 1956.
She is also a member of Audit sub-Committee for MDIS.
She sits on the Board of Governors for TCC-Telecom Credit Co-operative Society Ltd which is a family Oriented Credit Co-operative and is a Not-for profit Financial Institution.
She sits on the Board of Directors for Adelphi MCST-Management Corporate Strata Title (MCST) the managing body of a strata-titled property namely the Adelphi Building. MCST is empowered by the law to administer and oversee the common property of a strata development.
Natalie Sum Yue Chung was elected a Board of Director of PBEC in 2024. She is a climate advocate, researcher, and entrepreneur born and raised in Hong Kong. Inspired by a polar explorer at the age of 11, Natalie has dedicated her life to climate action. She is the co-founder of V’air Sustainability Education, a social enterprise providing nature-based climate change education for schools and corporations. Natalie is recognized by Eco-Business and The Japan Times as one of the most impactful sustainability leaders in Asia Pacific. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at Princeton University, jointly supervised by Professors Michael Oppenheimer and Eric Tate.
Natalie’s professional experience with the World Bank on a Pacific Island environmental project led her to realize the life-and-death consequences of extreme weather for vulnerable communities, sparking her research interest in climate resilience. During her time at Princeton, Natalie aims to develop an evaluation model that integrates scientific and human elements to support nature-based adaptation. She is the researcher and host of the RTHK TV documentary series “Climate Insight”, where Natalie captured the journey of climate adaptation in Fiji and insights from COP28 in Dubai through fieldwork, community engagement and expert dialogues.
In recognition of her climate research and advocacy efforts, Natalie has been appointed by the Hong Kong government as the Deputy Convenor in Youth and Capacity Building at the Council for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development, member at the Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee and the Country and Marine Parks Board to advise on policy decisions. As a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Natalie initiated the Lead for Sustainability Mentorship program. She also served as the sole Hong Kong representative at the Dr. Sylvia Earle Antarctic Climate Expedition, advocating for the ocean-climate crisis through launching a follow-up multimedia exhibition entitled “Climate Witness: Changing Polar Landscapes” at the Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change.
Natalie holds an MPhil in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University and a BSSc in Geography and Resource Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the clarinet, Chinese painting, and hiking.
David Ching was elected to the Board of Directors PBEC in 2024. He has worked under the auspices of BEP Malaysia, Chartered Architects Malaysia and Chua Ka Seng Singapore. Between 1989 and 1995, he was Jurong Bird Park’s Director of Planning & Development. He has also ventured into China, India and Vietnam. He set up a full-fledged multi-disciplinary firm in Ho Chi Minh City in 2007 and was the main contractor of a 1500-unit social housing development in Danang City.
David has been with the Ong & Ong Group since 2010. He currently is the CEO of Ong & Ong Vietnam and director of its other subsidiaries in Malaysia and its HQ Singapore. He recently opened their second main office in Hanoi in 2024. (Ong Tze Boon who works with David is the youngest son of the late Mr Ong Teng Cheong, the 5th President of the Republic of Singapore)
Prior to Ong & Ong David ran his own architectural firm and worked for several others across Asia. He is a well renowned master of his craft and has had a hand in some of the most famous and historic building projects in Vietnam.
David has a certificate in Arbitration from the National University of Singapore, a Post-Graduate Architecture Diploma from the Bartlett School of Architecture & Planning, University College London and a

Ms Ha Do was elected a Board of Director PBEC in 2024. She is a Senior Partner & Head of ASPAC International Development Advisory Services KPMG and, the Head of ASPAC International Development Advisory Services (IDAS), leading the KPMG IDAS practice in Asia Pacific region. The practice focuses on working with multi-lateral and bilateral development agencies and on Infrastructure, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and Healthcare relating projects. Ha is responsible in developing business strategies, strengthening KPMG’s capabilities, enhancing projects quality, building up relationships with key clients and relevant stakeholders (including both private and public sectors) across ASPAC region.
Before taking the ASPAC regional role, Ha was Senior Partner of KPMG Hanoi office, Head of Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare (IGH) Sector, Head of ESG and Head of State-Owned Enterprises of KPMG Vietnam and Cambodia. She is also sitting in the ASPAC Advisory Council for Global Infrastructure Project Financing Association (IPFA), a global organization for the infrastructure and energy financing industry. Ha has been a long-time Governor in the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Board of Governors.
She is currently the Chairwoman of Women in Business Committee in AmCham. Ha has been a Board Member of Sustainable Finance Sector Committee (SFSC) under European Chamber of Commerce, working with various stakeholders to mainstream green business, abolish barriers, and create the conditions for green business to thrive. Ha has recently participated in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP)’s Financing Energy Transition project’s as one of their Advisors. Ha was Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Business Association for the period of 2017 – 2021, actively involved in promoting business of Vietnamese private enterprises. She sits in various advisory boards for non-profit organizations and runs SympaMeals with her friends, a charity fund providing free meals to poor patients in the city cancer hospital.

Sebastian Man is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chung Mei International Holdings Limited. Chung Mei is a manufacturer of domestic kitchen electrics and air treatment products. It manufactures small household electrical appliances on an OEM/ODM basis for major international brands round the world. The manufacturing facilities are in Dongguan, China.
Sebastian is also very active in community services. He was a director of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. He was a charter member and the first (1996) President of the Lions Club, Metropolitan Chapter in HK. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He is the Hong Kong City Chair of Chief Executive Organization (“CEO”). He was a member of HK Trade Development Council Electronics/Electrical Appliances Industries Advisory Committee. He is a Standing Vice President of the Hong Kong Electrical Appliances Manufacturers Association. He is an Excom member of Pearl River Delta Council, Federation of Hong Kong Industries. Sebastian was the Co-President of Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong from 2006 to 2008 and is now a director of the Association. In addition, Sebastian served on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board from 2012 to 2015. He serves on the Board of the Corporation Development Committee and the Innovation Node Hong Kong alumni advisory group of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sebastian is an Honorary President of Man Clansmen Association. Hendrick Sin has been a PBEC Board of Director since 2017 and is the Co-founder and Vice Chairman of CMGE Technology Group Ltd (302.HK). He is also an advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation. He is he current chairperson of the HK Govt Committee of the AI Subsidy Scheme.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr Sin obtained his college education in the USA. He received his triple bachelors degrees in computer science/mathematics, economics and industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University in May 1996, all within four years and graduated with college honors.
In June 1997, Mr Sin graduated from Stanford University with a masters degree in engineering-economic systems and operations research. Upon graduation, Mr Sin had 12 years of investment banking career with various renowned international investment banks, he had led many IPO and M&A transactions for Chinese SOEs and private enterprises and completed corporate finance transactions of value over RMB50bn. Mr Sin had over 22 years’ experience in management, finance and investment banking all the time working closely with PRC enterprises and individuals.
Mr Sin has also founded a venture capital fund in Shenzhen called China Prosperity Capital Fund (CPC Fund) in 2015. CPC Fund was recognised as Top 20 Growth Venture Capital Investment Institutions in China for the Year of 2019.

Mary Simpson has been a Board of Director at PBEC since 2023 and is the Director of International Member Engagement at ICAEW – Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales
Mary has over 20 years of experience in corporate communications, business development and event management. As a member of ICAEW’s International Leadership Team, she oversees Australasia, the Americas and Hong Kong and leads teams based in Hong Kong and London. Mary is responsible for building strategic engagement with industry leaders and regional stakeholders, driving growth and retention in membership, and raising the international profile of ICAEW.
Previously, as Director of Events for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham), she implemented effective B2B and B2C strategies in business development and member and stakeholder relations. Under Mary’s leadership, AmCham experienced significant growth in its programme offerings, expanding from 250 to over 400 annual events and activities across key regions including Hong Kong, South China, Beijing, and Shanghai. She also played a pivotal role in enhancing AmCham’s philanthropic efforts by forging partnerships with UHNW individuals, contributing to the growth of the AmCham Foundation.
As an experienced emcee, Mary has hosted a variety of city-wide industry and government events. Notably, she served as the emcee for the Asia tour of former US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Dawn Westerhout was elected as Board of Director PBEC in 2024. She is a seasoned professional who excels in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and marketing. As the Asia Pacific Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at KPMG, and a key member of the regional leadership team, Dawn is instrumental in shaping, promoting, and protecting the firm’s brand and reputation. Drawing on her early experiences in theatre and journalism, Dawn has a unique ability to understand people and situations, enabling her to craft simple and effective solutions to complex issues. She is particularly adept at stakeholder management and communications, which has been pivotal in her role. Dawn is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, with a strong focus on creating a more inclusive workplace, especially for women.
She served as the regional liaison for the Women Corporate Directors Foundation at KPMG from 2011 to 2020 and until then, co-chaired the WCD Singapore chapter. Additionally, Dawn has been a board member of The Necessary Stage since 2022 and previously served on the board of the humanitarian NGO Mercy Relief from its foundation in 2003 until 2016.

Ben Usinger was appointed Board of Director at PBEC in 2024 and is the Managing Partner of Terracotta Advisors, an investment and advisory firm in the Web3 space, and the CEO and Co-Founder of TON Cash, a fast-growing shopping rewards app. For more than 10 years, Ben has built ventures and driven growth within the blockchain and Web3 industry.
Before founding his current companies, Ben led KPMG’s Blockchain and Web3 advisory team in Hong Kong and served as CMO and Chief of Staff at BitMEX, a major cryptocurrency exchange. Earlier in his career, he co-founded a payment startup backed by Audi and 3M Ventures.
Ben holds a degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and an MBA from EADA, Barcelona.
Thomas Wong has been a Board of Director of PBEC since 2020 and is one of the two co-founding partners of CW CPA, an international mid-sized professional accounting and advisory firm based in Hong Kong with also offices in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Shanghai of Mainland China as well as having liaison offices in Barcelona of Spain, London of UK, Bogotá of Colombia, Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte of Brazil. He looks after many areas of CW CPA, particularly the business development and strategies of the firm. He is subject matter expert on Latin American firms doing business in China with corporate offices in Hong Kong.
Developing overseas markets is always at the top of Thomas’ agenda. In line with the dynamism of the economic and trade relations between China and Latin America, Thomas established a Latin American and Spanish business advisory unit in 2006, which has now fully developed into the Latin Department in his firm, exclusively serving the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking clients—a service model which still remains to be unique among accounting firms in Hong Kong.

Walsh was previously the Chief Executive of the award-winning Hong Kong based brokerage company Asia Jet & Chief Commercial Officer of Hongkong Jet and BAS Guernsey both commercial charter operators. Prior to that he was a Board Director of Jet Edge International in the USA and Air Charter Service PLC out of the UK and its subsidiaries in the USA, Russia, Dubai and HK. He has also previously worked and been commended for his service as a contractor for the United Nations – UNHAS division and for Dept of Foreign and International Development of the UK Government.
Michael has enjoyed a fruitful career in a variety of roles within the air transportation industry – Board member, Commercial Sales, Marketing, Public Affairs, Crisis Management, Humanitarian Relief, Events, Sponsorship and Communications in Hong Kong, across Asia, the UK and Europe, CIS, Middle East and USA.
His passion extends to youth engagement and philanthropy. He was the founder of a Educational Program called “Student Discovery”, which has hosted several thousand students from across the region over the past four years. Its mission, as part of his association with AsBAA, is to educate young people about the benefits of Business and General Aviation. Walsh also created an annual black-tie industry event that raised significant sums for the Orbis charity over the same period. He has continued to work with several Government agencies around the region to advocate for new, smart city and airport infrastructure.

Lei Yu has been a Board of Director of PBEC since 2022 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer for QBE North Asia and Regional Head of Distribution for Asia in December 2018. QBE is a general insurance and reinsurance company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and has been present in Asia for more than 100 years.
Lei is a business leader who is passionate about building customer advocacy through innovation and technology. She is the executive sponsor to business digital transformation and customer development initiatives at QBE, and leads the design of the QBE E2E customer journey. She is responsible for shaping and driving distribution and partnership strategy to accelerate the company’s growth ambitions.
Before joining QBE, Lei served as the Hong Kong and Macau Chief Executive Officer for Marsh, a leading insurance broker where she also held various leadership positions in New York, Singapore and Shanghai.
Lei has been involved in promoting Hong Kong as the professional services centre for the Belt and Road Initiative, and served as a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Belt and Road Committee. She is currently actively involved in the Hong Kong insurance industry’s initiatives for development in the Greater Bay Area.
