His Excellency Guillermo Fernández de Soto Minister of Foreign Affairs Colombia

Guillermo Fernández de Soto was appointed minister of foreign affairs of Colombia in 1998. Previously, he was president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce from 1993 to 1998 and president of the Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce from 1996 to 1998. In 1988, Minister Fernández de Soto headed a United Nations technical mission that drafted a special economic cooperation plan for Central America. From 1985 to 1988 he served as deputy minister of foreign affairs.
