Paul Henry O'Donoghue is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board of Marsh Canada Limited. He also serves as Chairman of the PBEC Canada Member Committee.

O'Donoghue joined William M. Mercer Ltd., Toronto in 1955 and worked with the firm until its acquisition by Marsh & McLennan Limited in 1959, and then held a number of positions with Marsh & McLennan, till 1969, when he was elected to the Board of Directors and appointed Executive Vice President. He was appointed president and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Limited and William M. Mercer Limited, holding the latter position until 1978 and remaining a Director of William M. Mercer until 1982.

He officially retired as Chairman and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Limited in 1996, although he continues to be actively involved with the Company as Chairman of its Advisory Board.

O'Donoghue sits on the Board of Directors of a number of organizations, comprising the Banque Nationale de Paris (Canada) Limited, as Vice Chairman and Slough Estates Canada Limited as Chairman, Guy Carpenter & Co. (Canada) Ltd. and the National Catholic Broadcasting Foundation. He is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Fund Committee as well as the Commercial Advisory Council for Royal LePage and the International Advisory Committee of the Calgary Organ International Festival.

He is a former Member of the Advisory Committee, Faculty of Arts & Science, University of Toronto; the Executive Council, Canadian Chamber of Commerce; Past President, Ontario Section, French Chamber of Commerce; President's Council for the University of St. Michael's College, and a Past Director of the Canadian Opera Company; National Ballet of Canada; Caledon Ski Club; Toronto School of Theology and the Bishop Strachan School Ireland Fund of Canada.

He was recognized by the Government of France for contributions to trade relations between Canada and France and is the recipient of the Canada 125 Medal.
