Kathleen K. Hishinuma Vice President International Business Services and Support GTE Corporation

Kathleen K. Hishinuma has held her present position as Vice President of International Business Services and Support since October 1997. Previously, Hishinuma was area president for GTE Wireless - Hawaii, a position she held since 1996.

Hishinuma began her GTE career in 1980 as a service cost administrator at GTE Hawaiian Telephone. In 1985, she was named Staff Manager of Revenue Research at GTE Service Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut. In 1988, she became Director of Regulatory Compliance for GTE Telephone Operations in Irving, Texas. During 1992, Hishinuma served as a member of the Network Operations Process Reengineering Team. In 1993, she was named Director of Special Services and Network Administration. She served as Acting Assistant Vice President of Customer and Network Operations from December 1993 until September 1994 when she moved to Ohio as General Manager of Customer Operations

Hishinuma holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Hawaii and a management certificate from Smith College. She is a certified public accountant.

She and her husband, Robin, live in Dallas, Texas, with their daughter, Erin.
