David G. Eldon Chairman The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation

David Eldon, who first joined the HSBC Group in 1968, was appointed an Executive Director and Chief Exectuive Officer of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in 1996. He has been Chairman since January 1999.

He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Hang Seng Bank Limited, and a Director of HSBC Holdings plc and Swire Pacific Limited.

Mr. Eldon is a Steward of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and a member of the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
