CCU International in partnership with CS Tech Solution Limited brought #carboncapture to Hong Kong for the first time at the recent #rethinkhk2023 expo. On the early morning before the expo opened, CCU International Founder and CEO Beena Sharma alongside CS Tech CEO Dixon Chan came and spoke with PBEC members at a closed door briefing session at the KPMG offices in Central. Our Chairman Andrew Weir and CEO Michael Walsh welcomed them to Hong Kong. Dixon expressed his excitement about the opportunity to bring the solution to Asia and begin supporting industries on their #decarbonisation plans including PBEC members firms. PBEC supported their networking event in the evening that proved to be very successful and we look forward to them announcing some of their groundbreaking projects in the region very soon.
In some subsequent news, CCU International are delighted to announce that they have made it into the 10 finalists for the ADNOC Group decarbonisation challenge that honours innovators and pioneers reshaping the global energy landscape. They have been selected from 650 entries from across 50 countries! CCU International will attend the final in December 2023 to pitch for a $1m opportunity with ADNOC. PBEC wishes them well and are keeping our fingers crossed for Beena and her team.
The Decarbonization Technology Challenge, launched at UAE Climate Tech forum, is led by ADNOC in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), bp, Hub71 and Net Zero Technology Centre.
