Hendrick Sin has been a PBEC Board of Director since 2017 and is the Co-founder and Vice Chairman of CMGE Technology Group Ltd (302.HK). He is also an advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation. He is he current chairperson of the HK Govt Committee of the AI Subsidy Scheme.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mr Sin obtained his college education in the USA. He received his triple bachelors degrees in computer science/mathematics, economics and industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University in May 1996, all within four years and graduated with college honors.
In June 1997, Mr Sin graduated from Stanford University with a masters degree in engineering-economic systems and operations research. Upon graduation, Mr Sin had 12 years of investment banking career with various renowned international investment banks, he had led many IPO and M&A transactions for Chinese SOEs and private enterprises and completed corporate finance transactions of value over RMB50bn. Mr Sin had over 22 years’ experience in management, finance and investment banking all the time working closely with PRC enterprises and individuals.
Mr Sin has also founded a venture capital fund in Shenzhen called China Prosperity Capital Fund (CPC Fund) in 2015. CPC Fund was recognised as Top 20 Growth Venture Capital Investment Institutions in China for the Year of 2019.
Mr Sin is a delegate to the 14th Hong Kong National People’s Congress, a Director of China Overseas Friendship Association, a Member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin CPPCC Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Election Committee (Technology and Innovation Circle), Member, ICAC Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee, President of Hong Kong Internet Professionals Association, Executive Vice President of the Federation of Hong Kong and Shenzhen Societies and Director of the Greater Bay Area Innovation and Technology Committee.
He is Vice President of Shenzhen Overseas Friendship Association, Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co., Ltd. Investment Entrepreneurship Fund, Honorary President of Futian District Overseas Friendship Association, Youth Parliament President Advisor, Radio Television Hong Kong Advisory Board, Research Grants Council member & Member of Innovation Technology and Industrial Development Committee and United Hong Kong Fund Advisor
He is also Deputy Director of the Greater Bay Area Committee of the Hong Kong Provincial CPPCC Association and Co-founder of Hong Kong Start Again Alliance. Mr Sin was a recipient of young industrialist award of Hong Kong 2018.
